What ingredients do you use ?

Each Sam² lotion bar contains plant butters and oils. Scented bars also include essential oils and botanical extracts. The bars contain no water and no wax. You’ll find the full ingredient list on each product page.

Are your products vegan ?

Yes. Every ingredient comes from a plant source. No animal products go into any Sam² formula.

How do I use my lotion bar ?

Warm the bar between your palms for a few seconds until it starts to soften. Glide it directly over dry skin using long strokes. Massage any remaining oil into your skin until it absorbs. Use less than you would with a liquid lotion, since the formula is concentrated.

Avoid contact with eyes. Stop use if irritation occurs. Each bar is handmade in small batches. Slight variations in colour, scent, and appearance are normal.

Should I patch test a new lotion bar ?

Patch test on your inner arm before applying a new lotion bar to a larger area, and wait 24 hours to check for a reaction.

How should I store my lotion bar ?

Heat softens your bar. Since it’s made from plant butters and oils, it behaves more like a body oil than a traditional lotion bar. 

Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat, including a hot car. If it’s warm enough to melt, your chocolate should go in the fridge too.

A soft or melted bar needs a cooler spot or some time in the fridge to firm back up. Give it more time in your hands afterward if it feels too firm to glide on smoothly. 

What’s the shelf life of a lotion bar ?

The formula contains no water. Anhydrous formulas don’t support the bacterial growth that water-based lotions can, which supports better shelf stability.

Use often. Don’t wait. Today is good enough.

Do you list allergens ?

Yes. Health Canada requires allergens to be listed. Each product page includes the relevant ingredient information.

Can I pick up my order, or do you only ship ?

Sam² Studio ships every order. Pickup isn’t offered.

Do you ship outside Canada ?

Sam² Studio ships within Canada only. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

What if my scent isn’t in stock ?

Contact Sam² Studio for an update on when it’s back in stock.

What’s your return or exchange policy ?

Sam² Studio does not accept returns. If your order arrives damaged or wrong, reach out and the studio will make it right.
